12 Invitations, 7 Occupations: Our Clients Just Got the Email They’ve Been Waiting For.
We’ve all seen the post: someone holding up a screenshot, caption reading “It’s finally happening.” This week, twelve of our clients got to post theirs.
World Access Immigration has received 12 Skilled Independent (Subclass 189) invitations for our clients in the latest round. That means permanent residency in Australia is now one application away, with no employer, state or family sponsor needed.
The Round at a Glance

What This Round Tells You
It’s not just one “type” of professional. Scientists, economists, a valuer and two skilled tradespeople were all invited. If you’ve been told the 189 is only for a handful of professions, this round says otherwise.
- Environmental Consultants led the pack. Five of our twelve invitations went to a single occupation. Australia’s shift towards a green-energy economy is showing up in who gets invited.
- Trades count. An Electronic Instruments Trades Worker and an Automotive Electrician were invited alongside the degree-holders. Skills are skills.
Your Occupation Is Half the Story
There is no single national cut-off for the 189. Every occupation has its own queue, and the highest-ranked Expressions of Interest (EOIs) in each queue are invited first. Fewer people competing in your occupation can mean invitations reach lower scores. A crowded occupation means you need more points to stand out.
This is why strategy beats luck. The right ANZSCO code, a strong skills assessment and an EOI that reflects your real circumstances can change your outcome.
These results reflect our clients in this round only. They don’t predict who will be invited next.

Invited. Now the 60-Day Sprint Begins.
An invitation isn’t a visa. In 60 days you’ll need to pull together:
1. Identity and skills documents
2. Employment evidence
3. Police certificates
4. Health examinations, when requested
“Invited this week. Prepared long before.”
